Our Mission
Mojave Research exists because the people building AI for national security should understand both the technology and the mission. We pair a Marine — with the leadership to drive any program through any obstacle and the deep knowledge of federal standards to do it right — with AI researchers who ship production models under real security and operational constraints. Not advisors. The engineers writing the code, deploying the models, and driving the program forward. That background spans secured enclaves, air‑gapped delivery, and large operational datasets — and it’s what we build on.
Leadership
Leaders who’ve lived the constraints — high-stakes legal work, security requirements, and real-world engineering — and who build teams that can deliver as a prime or a subcontractor.
Jason Wareham
CEO
Former U.S. Marine Corps Judge Advocate (LtCol, USMC). Georgetown Law LL.M. focused on digital evidence and cybercrime.
Jason’s background is built around adversarial environments: evidence, procedure, risk, and consequences. MRI applies that same discipline to AI and security work — clear requirements, defensible decisions, and delivery that survives real scrutiny.

Manbir Gulati
Principal AI Scientist
Published at NeurIPS 2023 on masked-transformer methods for synthetic tabular data, and listed as an inventor on WO2023220583A1.
Manbir builds models for environments where data access, provenance, and privacy aren’t “nice to have” — they’re the problem. That bias shows up in the systems we ship: careful evaluation, controllable behavior, and operational guardrails.
